Taylor Code is a California native, having roots in South Central and Lynwood. Like many of his peers Code fell victim to the gang epidemic that caught fire during the 1990's. Shot and incarcerated during his teens and early adulthood, Code found redemption through his music. This led him to youth work with Street Poets, Inc., where Taylor shares his medicine and gifts to inspire young people.
